Summer Theatre Camp: Shrek KIDS June 15 - June 26 Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Ages 9-13 | $500 per camper Location: Manatee Performing Arts Center

Let your child’s creativity take center stage this summer in our engaging two-week theatre camp featuring Shrek KIDS! Campers ages 9-13 will bring this hilarious, heartwarming musical to life, based on the beloved animated film. With characters like Shrek, Donkey, Fiona, and a cast of fairy tale misfits, this camp promises big laughs and bigger memories.

This immersive camp experience helps young performers build confidence, communication skills, and creativity. Whether they’ve performed before or are stepping on stage for the first time, every camper will find their voice in a fun, encouraging environment.

Throughout the two weeks, participants will learn acting, singing, dancing, and essential stagecraft skills while preparing for a fully staged performance of Shrek KIDS. They'll also explore teamwork, problem-solving, and character development—all while having a blast with new friends.

At the end of the session, family and friends are invited to a live performance celebrating the hard work and growth of every camper. It’s a proud and inspiring moment for all involved.

Our experienced theatre educators and artists lead the program with a focus on safety, learning, and fun. This is more than just a camp—it’s a chance for your child to discover the joy of theatre and the confidence that comes with performing.
