Performances of all eight plays in the competition for Best Play and Runner-up are on February 4, 2023, beginning at 7:30 PM and February 5 at 2 PM. A live announcement and the Verna Safran Prize presentation for BEST PLAY and for Runner-up Play will follow the February 5 matinee.
This year, award-winning playwright, actor, and director Jason Cannon was engaged to work with each of the eight playwrights to strengthen their works for this festival. The funds for Mr. Cannon's involvement were made possible by a gift to Theatre Odyssey from Melliss Kenworthy Swenson made in memory of her late husband, Curt Swenson.
