Show Notes

× A Literary Feast

Join literary titans Ernest Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald for an evening of storytelling and comedy.

It's the 1920s and the party is jumpin' with Hemingway and Fitzgerald sharing excerpts from two of their lesser known short stories: The Capital of the World and Winter Dreams. Then, with a few suggestions from the audience, the authors will create an entirely new story about the Jazz Age.

The fun continues when their wives, Hadley Richardson and Zelda Fitzgerald, reveal that they have transformed the library into their own Radio Drama Studio and have created a new program to blast across the airwaves: Taming of the Pen. The audience decides which story will go "live" each night and then the wives will perform the entire piece as a radio drama. Will we hear about The Curious Case of Benjamin Button? Maybe take a ride with The Great Gatsby or even join the hunt with The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber. The only thing we know for sure is that the Zelda and Hadley have taken over the storytelling and they've had some help from their friends: gin and tonic.

This party is gonna be the bee's knees and full of dramatic storytelling from the genius minds of Fitzgerald and Hemingway and comedic hijinks from the wives who had to endure them! So c'mon down and celebrate all this ishkabibble.
