× Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical Jr.

Rebellion is nigh in Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical Jr., a gleefully witty ode to the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination! This story of a girl who dreams of a better life and the children she inspires will have audiences rooting for the "revolting children" who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson.

Matilda has astonishing wit, intelligence... and special powers! She's unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher, the highly loveable Miss Honey. Matilda's school life isn't completely smooth sailing, however – the school's mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don't abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils' saving grace!

Packed with high-energy dance numbers and catchy songs, Matilda JR. is a joyous girl power romp. Children and adults alike will be thrilled and delighted by the story of the special little girl with an extraordinary imagination.

This camp is open to children ages 12-17 (age is based on the start date of the camp session). Children who participated in Disney’s 101 Dalmatians KIDS and/or Disney’s Moana Jr. are also eligible to register.

Camp Information The Summer Youth Education Camp is a two-week, intensive and hands-on theatrical experience for youth. Camp instruction is led by professional teaching artists and musical directors. It is a safe environment for students to learn about the arts as well as responsibility, teamwork and preparation. Camp culminates in a fully-staged production of a shortened version of a popular musical, complete with choreography, singing, costumes, set and lighting. Campers grow in courage and self-confidence and make new friends! Camps meet Monday through for two weeks from 9 AM to 5 PM culminating in performances on the final Friday evening and two daytime shows on Saturday. At this time, we are limiting the number of participants to twenty (20) children. Depending on local ordinances or restrictions, we may be able to offer more camp slots. Children are required to provide their own, non-microwaveable lunch
