Show Notes
Our speaker on March 9, 2021, is Jane Plitt, a local author and advocate for women’s rights, small business and social justice. She was the first woman hired at Rochester Telephone, served as the executive director of the National Women’s Organization, founded an economic development and marketing firm, created the Rochester Women’s Network (still active today), was named U.S. Small Businessperson of the Year. Jane also authored a series of books on entrepreneur Martha Matilda Harper, a friend of Susan B. Anthony and the woman who created modern franchising.
Discover how Martha Matilda Harper, a poor immigrant servant, was able to succeed as a business changemaker by coming to America when and where she did, and come away inspired about the contemporary possibilities that still await us all.
Meeting includes lunch and reservations required ahead of time. Lunch $13.50
